NOTE: The recipe ofr this beer changted significantly in 2011.

A light, refreshing, hoppy pale ale. A showcase for the incredibly aromatic North American hop – Citra. It has a lovely citrus aroma, with juicy fruit flavours in the mouth. Medium bitterness.

330 ml bottle from Birra+ (bottled on 12-05-2014). Rich golden yellow, quite clear, with a nice, creamy and persistent bright white head. Delicate but powerful nose, plenty of tropical and citrus notes (blood orange, mandarine, papaya and mango, light white graes), some white bread/biscuits presence, very hoppy and slightly piney overall. Pretty high level of bitterness, some light malt/resin astringency upfront, but definitely juicy and dank taste. Citrus, pine needles, just a hint of nuts. Perfect level of dryness, way too easy to drink, rather refreshing. Average carbonation, medium body, creamy texture. Very, very good.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white hed. Intense, citric, citrusy Citra aroma, notes of lemon, tangerine, orange, orange zest, biscuity malty background. Taste is mildly bitter hoppy, citrusy, some lemon, orange, lemon zest, subtle biscuity malt sweetness; slightly mineral, chalky, and husky finish. Superb summer ale, slurped away in a jiffy.

On tap at Buxton Tap House, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Nose is on the fruitier side, with floral notes and almost a Belgian-esque yeast component. Flavour is lighter, with floral notes, light fruitiness, and a dry, astringent hoppy finish. Well-balanced, but I prefer the Moor Top. Very nice.
