An Imperial, Smoked Rye Porter evolved from the recipe book of JK; our Head Brewer. Mashed with malt smoked over a scottish peat burning fire, this beer has a lovely smokey, phenolic and slightly spicy character. Reminiscent of bonfires and Islay whisky.
Almost all gone, get it while you can and drink it whilst the smokey character is still prominent.

Bottle at home. Low fluffy light brown quickly disappearing head. Very dark clear red brown body. Powerful smoke roasted malt aroma. Smooth smoke roasted malt coffee liquorice flavor with a bit of hops bitterness, low carbonation and a long finish.

Bottle 330ml (Saveur). Dark brown color, small beige head. Strong smokey, peaty and leathery Islay whiskey aroma. Medium-bodied. Peaty, even tarry flavor. Rye bready. More "porterish" than "stoutish". Perharps a bit too much whiskey for my liking.

Bottle 33cl, a dark beer with lox head. Nose is on dark chocolate and light smoked notes Aroma is on a oily dark chocolate, brown caramel and coffee beer, slightly creamy, medium smoked notes, medium sweet too, light peated touch finish is nice on smoked notes too with long duration, same for dark coffee touch. A good beer, just less impressive as expected, didn’t get the rye side

Bottle BB 2015. Black with a thin off-white head. Smell lives up to the name - fabric plasters and smoke. Body is medium to light with hardly any carbonation. Taste is toned down smoke. It’s a little insipid to start but the smoke does endure so that it’s not totally watery. No real bitterness, not overly sweet. A little metallic. Decently made and balanced, but just a bit boring.

Cask at Borefts BF 2012. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel and light notes of smoke. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and light notes of smoke, leading to a dry smokey finish. Lacks character.
