Bottled. Pours deep brown, nearly black with a medium sized, lacing tan head. Aroma og roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, notes of brett, wood and licorice notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry, with alcohol notes and slightly bitter. Full bodied, oily text. and soft carb. An excellent impy.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled Aug 2013, at Kitty’s, 20140104) The beer poured black and oily. Its head was small and white. Aroma had burnt malts, sourness, liquorice and midly ash. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were sourness, burnt malts, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Afteraste was ashy, sourness and bitter. A nice heavy imperial stout

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2014 Dense black, not viscous but thick with a sandy head. Driven rich salt and malt head is the only way to out it, dewy and licking your palm tang - perky enough but a weird gassy vibrance. There’s little angles to this beer sadly, wee bit slippery mouthfeel and crunchy salty malt middle. I really thought this would be a lot more complex than it was but it’s down the middle before a rocket of a finish. Bump of malt richness dissolves in, light oaky and dry and a couped up bitterness. Would like to see more info on how or what this is aged in as the finish could boost things from the start, especially if they risk sticking in a Bourboun softening barrell or similar.

Deep black with a small tan head, aroma is funky, the flavour is brett and dark malt. Nice beer but not as great as I hoped.

330ml bottle (Kitty’s, Helsinki) - dear staff, you should have warned us this was 24e before selling my mate 2 bottles of it - yes, I may be a beer nerd who will occasionally splash out on something special, but my mate isn’t. Clue - beer nerds don’t say "and one for me too" after his beer nerd friend has asked for the most expensive thing you sell which only arrived last week.
Lovely ginger, very nice roast. Ginger in the the taste too. Wish i didn’t have to rush this, this is is excellent and roasty. Finish also roasty and ginger. Great finish, very long. A hint of choc. Soft. Alcohol hidden well. A good sipper.

Draft at church key in DC. Near black with a thin and bubbly head. Really sour and barnyard aromas. Tastes a bit like licking a horse saddle followed by a deep chocolate porter. Weird.
