Bottle and keg, special
After a long wait, our Special Reserve No.5 is pretty much ready. it’s an 8.4% big, bold, double IPA. It’s fresh, piney, big-bodied and with a bitterness that’ll slap you in the chops.

Bottle @ home from Saveur-biere.com - Color: clear golden beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: grassy and hoppy domination with sweet presence. Taste: nice hoppy taste with really sweet taste and sweet sensation on mouth. Aftertaste: high sweet bitterness and sweet sensation. Really nice beer, I recommend it.

330 ml bottle from Redmonds. Opaque pale amber, decent foamy off white head, lasts. Lovely perfume, floral nose, loads of pineapple and passion fruit, resiny pine. Flavour is sweet malt, loads of fruity sweetness, big whack of tangy hops. Big body, slick mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Long bitter sweet finish. A class IPA, unusual for this side of the pond.

Bouteille de 330 ml Un nez agréable suivie d une grosse amertume longue en bouche Un houblonnage bien présent qui tire sur des notes d agrumes exotique Des bulles fine viennent tenir cette mousse timide

Bold aromas, powerful in both amber and even bubblegum like malts, earthy and pine hops, cheesy yeast development and an overall powerhouse dark sweet bread underlining. Surprisingly smooth in taste thanks to the low carbonation and well rounded off (yet high) bitterness, of course as realized through bucketloads of malts. Nice warming ending. Delicous! (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Heavy one with nice drinkability, fruits, citrus moments and big hops. You definitely taste the high abv in the end with a bit of medicine and unwanted bitterness. Not bad !

Bottle from my Summer Santa - many thanks to you! The beer pours out in a hazy golden-amber colour with steady head and smooth body. Aroma of hops and pine. Taste of bitter hops, spruce, pine, citrus, coriander, thyme, spices, pepper, citrus and straw. Bitter finish. Nice one, very special and great to drink.

330 ml bottle. Bottled on Aug/2013. O'Hara's, Tampere, Finland. Hazy mid-brown colour with a big foamy off-white head. A little bit unfresh but strong hops, moderate bitterness, pine and resin and hop cones in the aroma. The flavour is herbal and piney hops, mild spices, mild bitterness malt and mild sweetness. It's less than a year old but still doesn't taste that fresh. A fresh one would be nice to taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey dark golden to amber colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and minimally herbal hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, a touch of resin and pine. Taste is bitter hoppy and somehow bitter malty, hints of bitter almond, some sweaty resin, bitter hoppy overtones with herbal, mineral and chalky hints; surpressed citrusy hop notes with hints of grapefruit, orange and lemon gain slightly more weight in the finish. Not fully satisfying, lots of "un-aromatic" bitterness.
