Tap @ CBC, 2014. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Chcolate, fruit, roast and mild peat. Charcoal. Full bodied. Bitter finish.

Bottle 330ml (ABM)
Dark opaque black color, tiny brown head. Cocoa, dark bread, roasted coffee in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Roasted, inky, almost burned maltyness. Cocoa, alcohol, some hop bitterness. Too burned for my liking, although it is ok brew.

Bottle at home from Brewtique, Macclesfield. Poured jet black with a thin brown head that faded away pretty quickly. Aroma is dark chocolate, booze, some wood. Flavour is bitter black coffee, chocolate, quite a dry finish. Pretty good stuff.

Draught @ CBC 2014. Pours black with a fading creamy light brown head, light lacings. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, dark chocolate. Medium body, soft carbonation, ABV well hidden. Smooth and easy drinking. 020514

330 ml bottle from Redmonds. Brown, almost black, huge foamy mocha colored head. Looks superb. Toasted malt nose, loads of milk chocolate too. Flavour is sweet milk chocolate cut through with bitter espresso coffee. Big thick viscous mouthfeel, long oily, roasty bitter finish. Really good.

Bottle west riding dewsbury. Great black colour slight tan head. Aroma is strong roasted malts coffee chocolate. Taste is similar great dark malt backbone long bitter finish. Medium body. Really good stout.

Aroma: dark chocolate, sweet jam, molasses, bread malts. Appearance: black, very small white creamy head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: sweet dark chocolate, sweet caramel, very dry long finish, very bitter, Overall: great Imperial Stout, massive taste and palate. Pint at the Buxton Tap House, Buxton.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 5 Apr 2014) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with black coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, chocolate, hints of soy sauce, dark bread and a fairly dry finish with a generous coffee bitterness. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and quite well balanced for its strength. Very nice.
