Bottle from Beer Emporium, Bristol. Almost black in colour with a thin, brown head. Big, plain chocolate and black coffee aroma, with some oak and a hint of marmite. Full, slightly boozy mouth feel with some chocolate depth, charred wood and touch of hop, before a dryish, warm finish. Very good.

Keg at Craft Clapham. Black, very thin tan head, thin lacing with good coverage. Smell - watery coffee and ash. Body is medium, quite foamy, carbonation is quite high to start but it settles down. Taste - ashy roasted malts, slightly thin and watery towards the finish, a bit of chocolate as it warms up. Decent enough.
