Bottled, 330ml at The Buxton Tap House, Buxton, Derbys. Black with tan head. This pours thickly and slowly giving quite a smooth beer, quite tarry, fruity and liquorice notes are all present followed by a hint of bitterness. Luscious and full. Excellent.

Bottle shared during RBESG - thanks to Colin. Pours black-brown with a creamy beige head. Big milk chocolate nose, mild roast. Medium sweet avor with rich chocolate, slight cocoa, earth, burnt toast. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance to finish, baking cocoa, lingering roast and bitter earth. Solid.

330 ml bottle from Birra+ (Bottled on 09-06-2014). Pitch black, dark and thick like used motor oil, with a small, creamy, moderately persistent light brown head. Lovely roasted and toasted smell, lots of bitter dark chocolate notes, some light vanilla and licorice presence, fudge and toffee candy, no alchool at all on the nose. Slightly warming, slick and velvety, slightly fruity (darker berries types), pleasent but mild bitterness. Extremely easy to drink for the ABV. Slightly ashy, roasted and chocolaty aftertaste. Soft carbonation, medium to full body, oily texture. Excellent sipper.

Bottle from Cornelius. Pours pitch black tiny tan head. Roasted malt and coffee nose. Taste is bitter and slightly sour? Coffee, very bitter chocolate. Would've preferred a little more sweetness, but otherwise tasty.

Bottle. Pours almost black. Nice tan head. Lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, some fruits and toffee. Very nice. Great smoothness. Medium-low carbonation. Moderate roastiness. High body. Light (pleasant) alcohol note. Great beer.

Kauge (693) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 29, 2014
Bottle from Stockmann in Tallinn (€ 3,55), July 2014. Pours a very deep black with a huge, thick, tan head that retains very well. Nose is the usual sweet, roasty-chocolaty. Surprisingly modest even after having warmed. Taste is caramelly and chocolaty sweet, with a fair deal of bitterness in the end. I just had Thornbridge’s St Petersburg that has the same 7,4% ABV but here the alcohol is way better hidden. Clearly contains oats as its body is fairly light and so damn silky smooth and soft to the tongue. The ABV kicks in after a while when it’s warmer, both in the nose and taste, but more in the latter as a bitter, alcoholic kick. Great!

Keg at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, yellow session. 02/05/2014. Dark black coloured pour with a thin lasting dark tan head. Aroms is earthy woody, dark choc, english yeast character and some raisin. Flavour is dark roasted barley and some eathy coffee notes. Palate is nice a dry, semi crisp, some chalk. Finish is earthy coffee. Good roasty stout. ~I like this.

Bottle courtesy of the CheeseMan. Pours black with a very impressive tan head. All about the roast in this, from the aroma to the flavor. A touch smoky with bitter chocolate.
