Bottle. Pours with a thick essentially black hued pour with a small and thin late to form and quick to fade brown head. Decent lace though. Aromas are are resiny and fruity. Hoppy with slightly lesser notes of chocolate, burnt toast, medium ester and toasty malt. Raisins, currants, figs, milk chocolate and tar. Flavors are hoppy, medium herbal but not too bitter. A bit woody. Lots of roasted malt, dark fruit, tar and iodine. Big chocolate hit. Woody, herbal, licorice, biscotti, marcona almonds. Nougat. Rich but tempered with the bitterness. Although a slightly sweet overall balance. Smooth malt, marshmallow, soil. Feels a bit aged, although I think it is a relatively fresh bottle. Nothing stands out too much, but it tastes good and seems well made. Velvety body with medium-low carbonation. A touch warming. Thick. Pretty good.

4/IV/13 - 33cl bottle from Chris Wines (London) @ home - BB: III/2014 (2013-305) Thanks to Akke for sharing the beer!

Clear very dark brown to black beer, solid creamy dark beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: caramel, sugary, some vanilla, fruity, red fruit jam, some overripe fruits, very sweet smell. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: chocolate milk, caramel, bit sugary, traces of hops, sweet. Aftertaste: soft bitter hops, caramel, mocha, chocolate, red fruits jam, sweet touch. Very decent stuff.
