Deep, black with a brown shade. Aroma of chocolate and earth-like malts. Fine blended taste of herbal hops, dark fruits and grainy chocolate as well as hints of tobacco. Full bodied. A black beer with a thick, medium and beige head. Aroma of liquirice, roastiness, unique and interesting menthol, some tar and smoke. Taste of tarliquirice, black coffee, smoke and tar. The aftertaste is dry and roasted with lots of strong coffee. Almost full bodied, but still quite easy to drink. 3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Finn (3090) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 18, 2013
Flaske 0,33l fra Kris Wines. Delt med Rune under seanse i H9 17 Jan 13. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget skum som blir liggende igjen som små prikker på glasset. Bra sjokoladearoma. Smaken er søt sjokolade som raskt blir etterfulgt av en fin, litt tørr fruktig ettersmak. Fin bitterhet. Alkoholen merkes ikke.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 zacgillbanks (968) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2012
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. An inky black beer that pours with a dark brown, quickly disappearing head. It has a thick mouthfeel spicy red fruity and orange marmalade flavours, liquorice and slight chocolate hints on the fruity finish. Maybe not a normal imperial stout, but this is still excellent!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 stobbe74 (3788) - DENMARK - NOV 30, 2012
Pours a pitch black beer with a chocolate head. The aroma is malt, roasted, licorice, alcohol, coffee and hops with grapefruit. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall a good beer.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 jackl (2598) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2012
Bottle @ home. The pour’s thick, oily black with a tight, creamy tan head. Attractive. The nose is strong sweet Hershey’s chocolate syrup, charred malts, espresso bean, booze-infused fudge and bitter dark chocolate. Big, expressive aromas. The taste is similarly outsized. Heavy notes of freshly ground espresso. Charred wood and gritty roasted malt flavors. Big, fat, thick chocolate milkshake. Dry, hoppy bitter finish. Ashy. The body’s thick and viscous. Luxurious mouthfeel. This beer wears the ABV well, though it certainly demands to be drunk at a leisurely pace. Overall, pretty outstanding. I feel like I’ve cheated myself by waiting this long to try this beer. It’s great. If this was made by a hip US brewery it’d have a huge reputation.
