Keg @ Carnivale Brettanomyces 2014. Golden color, cloudy. Only a soft vanilla aroma. A light sourness. Salty with hints of lemon. Hints of oak. Vinous. Rather shy, needs more time to develop.

330ml bottle (Black Door, Helsinki)
Massive fruity sharp aroma, tons of white wine, upon pouring. Upon settling, there’s a slightly lambicky funk. As you bring the beer onto the front of the tongue, again it’s quite lambicky. Some apricot there. In the mouth, the taste starts a little bit coconutty, something I don’t like at all. Then continues with a little bit of liver, hmm. Where hmm means erm?!?. Does open up and become a bit fruitier as it warms. But it never gets much beyond decent. Smooth palate, it’s still quite sweet. However the bitterness is nice and bitey, and lasts a long time, which is something I really appreciate in a sipper, and I’d call this a sipper. Price was scary, 18e/330, and I would rather have a 5e Boon for the Lambic aspects, which were the best bits. Interesting brew. Have to dock a point for the tear that ran down my cheak after seeing the bill.

Aromas and flavors: Fruits, orange, orange peels, some spices, dryness, yeast and some malts. White wine has washed sweetness away and makes this one quite dry. Very interesting.
