Wild Boar pours a pale straw colour with a fluffy white head. It has aromas of spicy lime and mango, with distinct flavours of honey malt and fruit punch, followed by a dry bitter finish.

Cask conditioned at Tap East Pub & Brewery, Stratford, London. Hazy greenish gold with white head. Here we go, straight into an elderflower type aroma and flavour, quite fruity, developing towards grapefruit and pineapple. Loads of bitterness and very hoppy. Great stuff.

Very nice hoppy fruity aroam. Hazy deep straw, small light head. Rubber taste. After the plastic, the body deos show the aromatic nature of the hops. Some sugary taste too. Finish has more and more hop bitterness with every sip, until the whole mouth throbs with hops. Good IPA, but a little OTT.

Bottle. Golden amber with an off white head. Aromas are toffee with spiced oranges and yeast. Grapefruit with perfumed pine. Dusty with light pear and herbal aspects. Flavours are chewy toffee with tangerine and grassy green piney notes and some nuttiness. Creamy oak with earthy, leafiness. Grapefruit with hints of pineapple. Bitter, dry and resinous to finish. Good.

On keg at the Old Red Cow, Smithfield on 13 April 2013. Straw colour. Almost completely flat (hence the low score for Palate). Looks a bit like cider, with a sight haze. Flowery aroma. Very bitter on the palate. Good drinking despite the lack of carbonation. Flagged for re-rate.

Bottle shared by Erwin Van Moll @ Van Moll Brewpub. Very hazy yellow color, full sized quite quickly diminishing white head. Aroma is lightly malts, grapefruit, fruity hops, peach, mandarin, hops. Taste lightly malts, lots of hops, very fruity, light to moderately grapefruit, again mandarin and a slight touch of orangepeel. Medium body, firm carbonation. Absolutely lovely.

Pours slightly hazy golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, orange, mango and hint of roses. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with a long orange fruity, bitter and slightly dry finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is fizzy.

Cask, handpump at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London 6th Jan 2012 This would have walked away as beer of the evening if it weren’t for the fact that Tom decided to crack open a Magnum of Gueuze (cheers mate!) Still this beer was utterly wonderful and despite the superb selection on in here, I had two ’Wild Boars’ and would have had more were it not for the fact that it ran out, sometimes something just hits the spot and you don’t want to try anything else and this was that beer this evening after a hard days brewing. Gold in colour moving towards light amber with a slim white head. Juicy, fruity with plenty of hops, I get mango, pineapple along with some sweet citrus fruits such as tangerine and clementine, lovely, lovely beer. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.2

BC from the brewery. WHAT an aroma; cracked peppercorns, pineapple jelly and whipped cream; pine, Hubba Bubba, blackcurrant, greenery, passion fruit..I dunno. Pours brilliant gold slicked with white. Stewed, densely floral and tropical-accented with big, brazen, perfumed hop flavours..and a peppery lick of booze. Long, balanced finish at once hop-bitter and lingering with malt. Bittersweet, beautiful, blackcurranty stuff.
