Finale pulito e persistente. Una buona ipa inglese dissetante!!

Pours golden colour, clear, provided you leave the yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Head of decent size, frothy, not too stable. Having the name of the beer in mind I expected some wild notes both in the aroma and taste but got nothing of that sort. Aroma is hops centered, lime, pineaple, mango, grapefruit. Actually, the aroma is very strong, charming and refreshing. Taste is strongly on the grapefruit side with pleasant albedo bitterness coming into play a bit too fast. All the aromas and flavours as listed at the back of the bottle with the exception of honey and grain - no malt notes detected whatsoever. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable IPA, extremely drinkable.

Bottled. A really top quality IPA. Fresh, citrusy aroma (grapefruit?). Tasted delicious, bitter, hoppy, fresh, lingering aftertaste. Refreshing and well worth a punt. So much better than so many of the balnd IPAs on the market.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Smells great, as all Buxton beers do. In the mouth region, it is an unveritable surfboard of fruity flavours, esp peach, lemon, pineapple. Great hop blend. Mouthfeel is amazing - so smooth and succulent. Some IPAs go for bite, this goes for juiciness. Lovely.

BC from the brewery. WHAT an aroma; cracked peppercorns, pineapple jelly and whipped cream; pine, Hubba Bubba, blackcurrant, greenery, passion fruit..I dunno. Pours brilliant gold slicked with white. Stewed, densely floral and tropical-accented with big, brazen, perfumed hop flavours..and a peppery lick of booze. Long, balanced finish at once hop-bitter and lingering with malt. Bittersweet, beautiful, blackcurranty stuff.

Cask at CBC, London. First cask ale after the continental lager holiday. Pours clear gold with a fine, foamy white head. Lovely hop aroma of pine, citrus rind and grass. Medium sweet flavor with a strong, grassy bitterness, with lighter notes of crisp straw and zesty citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine, delicate carbonation. Good condition. Sweet, sticky finish, medium sweet with lasting grass and dandelion bitterness. Great beer. Buxton gettin’ it done!

Cask, handpump at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London 6th Jan 2012 This would have walked away as beer of the evening if it weren’t for the fact that Tom decided to crack open a Magnum of Gueuze (cheers mate!) Still this beer was utterly wonderful and despite the superb selection on in here, I had two ’Wild Boars’ and would have had more were it not for the fact that it ran out, sometimes something just hits the spot and you don’t want to try anything else and this was that beer this evening after a hard days brewing. Gold in colour moving towards light amber with a slim white head. Juicy, fruity with plenty of hops, I get mango, pineapple along with some sweet citrus fruits such as tangerine and clementine, lovely, lovely beer. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.2

Bottle from the Bottle, York
Pale amber...hazy..small white head...not much lacing
Aroma - Hits you when you open the bottle - complex citrus aromas of grapefruit...bitter orange..mangos..tropical fruit..even a hint of banana...sweet pale malts...wonderful aroma
Taste - Fruity complex citrus hops with all the fruits in the aroma....some resins.....bit of spicy hops in the background with sweet juicy malts....very moreish
Palate - Medium body...soft carb...sweet citrus tangy..bittersweet...mouth puckering. Finish as main flavour (which is so good it doesn’t matter)...bit of increased bitterness...lingering pleasantly then gently fades away
Overall - This is the sort of beer that makes me excited about British brewing. Simply a world-class IPA. Superb. However, be careful with the yeast as that adversely affects the beautiful flavours in this beer.
