Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear reddish brown with a beige head. Tart, Bretty nose, sulphurous red wine. Medium body, very dry red wine, wood and sulphur. Some Brett, licorice, tobacco, lacto and smoke. Quite sophisticated really. Ends dry and tart. 220312

Bottled. Burgundy coloured. Unclear. Small off white head. Aroma of cherries, grape, sourness, fruits. Flavour of cherries, sweetness, grape, Meidum to full bodied. Ends light sour and grapy with a berry touch.

Nose of cranberry funky barrel wood notes, dust, drier dark malts. Funky poop notes. Dark brown pour almost impossible to see thru. Great creamyt beige head. Nice lace. Woody dry oak notes almost a lighter flanders red with more oak and solid cranberry notes. Dry, funky poopy, moderately sour, dry tart. Nice dust, dark malt works great w cranberry. Good carb, held up great. A really nice beer.

wow. thanks bvc! 2008. tart funky nose, pie cherry, love and oak. dark cherry brown, small tan head. mild tart body, some poopy body, mellowed. seems like a brune, oaky finish. big ups!

Bottle at post NotB tasting 09 vintage i believe. Huge foaming head, almost looks infected. Brown pour with that tan head. Raspberry and lactic aroma and flavor, this lambic isn’t that funky or mouth puckering as what I’m used to.

In short: A dry acidic/tart fruity beer. Just decent.
How: Bottles 750ml. Post-EBF 2010 tasting #1 and #2 with east-coast crew. Two different vintages
The look: Cloudy dark purple body topped by a medium beige head
In long: Nose is sharp and fruity. Taste is acidic and tart, fruity (not focussed on cranberry), dusty attic, papery. No real depth here, just a sharp spiky acidic fruit beer with a little bothersome flavours (paper mainly). We had two different vintages with different labels. I only took notes on the first one but I think the second one was more rounded and less razorblade sharp. Anyway, both were just ok. I found that the two different vintages we drank were quite different from each another. Especially the first one.

Bottle at Ryan’s Midtown Hotel room tasting post EBF 2010: 2008 version. Murky brown/amber pour with a creamy tan head. Sweet raspberry aroma- mild lactic tartness and toasted malt undertones. Fluffy body with some mild raspberry tartness and a touch of malt roast presence. Missing the funk and dryness of a true Lambic.

Bottle of the 09 at Ryan’s hotel room after EBF’s Night of the Barrels. Pours a hazy brown with a large infected looking beige head. Cardboard, packing peanuts, and a bit of sour funk. A very faint hint of cranberry at the very end of the aromas, but I think it’s only because my nose knows to search it out. Sour, but more so in the infected way, malty. Tannic. Not terrible, but not amazing either.
