COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Our Lager (Dortmund-style) is brewed with pale, Munich and Vienna malts and is moderately hopped with Hallertauer hops. The Dortmund style evolved in the steel-making town that bares the name and is a hearty lager with great heft in the mid-palate. The hops balance the malt but not overtly so. Canadian 2-Row Pale Malt Durst Munich and Vienna malt Magnum - Bittering hops Hallertauer - Flavor & aroma hops ABV: 4.8% IBUs: 35"

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2003 Has a golden color and a malt smell. Overall a little easier to drink than the Golden Ale... but not much....

Ugh... not a great beer. If you're into a sour wake-me-up kind of hello, its true. Otherwise, not pint worthy.

Fairly run of the mill, I couldn’t pick up on anything special in this one. While by no means bad, it just didn’t offer anything original to the style besides a bitter nuttiness that I wasn’t thrilled about.

Pale yellow pour. Crisp slightly hoppy malt taste. Beer is better than overproduced macros, but not all that great. Rated 3/25/04

12oz bottle-pours a thin off white head and yellow/gold color. aroma is sweet grain/medium malt, secondary fruity hops. taste is grain/medium malt, secondary fruity/herbal hops, musty, not clean. Finishes medicinal/cardboard. it’s a shame they stopped brewing but still put out beer near their closing.

Puiiiih - what a terrible honker. Nearly straw yellow, no head, no nose at all. Sulphury stale hops taste. YUCK

12 oz bottle pours a murky brownish copper with a foamy two fingered head. Aroma is malty with cinnamon and apple. Taste is a lot more sour than I thought it would be with really sour limes. A really starnge brew that is best suited for the drain.
