A stylish and indulgent contemporary creation. A wealth of ideas and techniques have been poured into the making of beer. It has influences from traditional and new world brewing, with a nicely balanced rich body cut with notions of citrus and a development of spice. A more-ish beer full of character and zest. This is the Horns respectfully doffing our caps, to both the classic European and New World brewing techniques.

NOTE: Shortly to be replaced by a new version at 4.0% and with a very different recipe. Please do NOT entere ratings for that beer here - add as a new beer instead.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Clear gold with very thin white head. Slightly buttery slightly estery aroma. More or less a standard golden ale in the mouth with a little bit of butter. Its clean, but just a bit bland to be honest. Not great condition. Bit too clean.

September 16, 2014 - at Craft Covent Garden; keg. Cloudy gold with a decent lasting foamy/creamy off-white head. Aroma - Belgian wit all right - yeast, fruity esters, grassy - nice. Taste follows, add more grass and a little funk - simple, not too sweet. Solid body, a little astringent - nice and lively - pretty solid, hint of rope in the aftertaste - I liked that.

Keg at The Rake tap takeover, London. It pours a light straw color with small white head. Aroma is floral, grainy and soapy, with notes of lemon leaves, grains and grass. Taste is grainy, light wheat notes, light citrus peel and hay. Finishes grainy and lightly dry. Light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, decent if a bit unexciting

330ml bottle from Microbar, Manchester. Tastes like a very weak Belgian wit or saison.. light, verging on non-existent wheat taste, like a budget supermarket alcohol-free lager. Just took another sip trying to pick something out but everything seems to have disappeared ghost like into thin air. Extremely disappointing, especially considering this is my first from this brewery.

Bottle. thanks bigbro
Pours light hazy yellow with a small, frothy, white head. Aroma is sweet, light citrus, some wheat, banana, light grainy. Lowish carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has grainy wheat, grassy, citrus. Lingering bitterness. Quite easily drinkable.

Clear golden color, small white head. Strong diacetylic butterscotch aroma. Medium-bodied. Crisp carbonation. Diacetyl is not so bad in the flavor, but it is there. Slightly wheaty, light hoppyness in the finish. Because of diacetyl, it is not easy to see if this has potential. My first one from By The Horns brewery.

Bottle at the By The Horns brewery on 7 September. Poured a clear pale golden colour with a scummy white head. Aroma of white grapes, tart fruit and a slight soap note. Flavours of candy sugar, coconut and slight musk. Finishes with grains, wheat and boiled sweets.

330ml bottle. Clear orangey golden colour with small to average, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Unpleasant clammy strawy aroma, some lemon. Taste is equally strawy, some lemon and lime, dry, soapy. Insipid, brackish.

Bottle. Pours a dark gold colour with a thin white head, wheat aroma with some orange, the taste is bitter for a wheat beer, with a bitter dry finish.
