33 cl bottle. BBE 11/2013.
Pours clear dark copper-red color with a large white head. Aroma of nettle, goose berry bush, some caramel malts and fruits. Some piney and resiny notes with mild hay also. The hop profile is quite grassy. Flavor is somewhat malty and nutty, fruity and hoppy bitter taste follows soon after. Can’t quite locate the wheat notes here. Slick malty palate with a bitter fruity finish. Decent.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Clear brown orange red beer with a thin beige head. Some spicy almost rye like aroma. Good malts good red fruit. The willamette hops are both fruity and peppery. Yes a pretty good malty beer with a decent whack of hops on the finish. I’d been waiting to have something from this brewery that I really enjoyed for some time and this seems to deliver a beer I like. Small touch of diacetyl on the aroma as it warms up or is that caramel? Anyway it works ok in this beer.
