330ml bottle, pours clear ruby red with a small head and lively carbonation. Nice malt flavours to start, caramel with hints of chocolate, nicely textured with some earthy dryness, fruity hints and a dash of cola. Well balanced with a short bitter finish. Nice one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at Wetherspoons Victoria. Pours a dark amber colour with a frothy off white head. Slightly smoky, sweaty, rubbery aroma. Medium body. The odd rubber thing is in the flavour too alongside some toffee and a bit of citrus. It's particularly dry. Not great.

33 cl bottle. BBE 11/2013.
Pours clear dark copper-red color with a large white head. Aroma of nettle, goose berry bush, some caramel malts and fruits. Some piney and resiny notes with mild hay also. The hop profile is quite grassy. Flavor is somewhat malty and nutty, fruity and hoppy bitter taste follows soon after. Can’t quite locate the wheat notes here. Slick malty palate with a bitter fruity finish. Decent.
