A big bold, in your face, malty beer! A touch of sweetness to start, nuttiness to follow and hoppy-ness to finish. Give it a little time and let this beer develop and tantalise those taste buds with its powerful and delectable kick of Willamette hops. A complex copper coloured fusion of distinction. Theres a lot going on with this cheeky little beer, so take your time and sup it up.

Bottle from Oddbins London Bridge. Clear brown orange red beer with a thin beige head. Some spicy almost rye like aroma. Good malts good red fruit. The willamette hops are both fruity and peppery. Yes a pretty good malty beer with a decent whack of hops on the finish. Id been waiting to have something from this brewery that I really enjoyed for some time and this seems to deliver a beer I like. Small touch of diacetyl on the aroma as it warms up or is that caramel? Anyway it works ok in this beer.

Loved this... perfect amount of carbonation and a full on flavour without being overpowering or too bitter.

(cask@Catford Bridge Tavern, SE London) Reddish/amber in colour with a small head. Aroma/taste of caramel malt, pine and a little spice and sweet fruit on the palate with a bitter finish. Bit watery in body for my liking, but still overall not bad though.

[330ml bottle, Drinkmonger, Edinburgh] Slightly hazy raspberry red pour with a quickly-diminishing head. One of the first bottles to reach Scotland. Slightly tangy, spicy pine aroma. Leathery caramel on the flavour, with a slightly bitter yeasty far aftertaste. Decent enough though, like the piney woodyness [26102012]
