Bottle, purchased @Utobeer Market Stall, London. Body is reddish amber, slightly hazed. One finger of dense sand-colored foam on top. Fruity, red berry-ish aroma. some fine caramel tones, too, and hint of earthy hops. Medium malt body. Dryish, toasted, light peppery. Firm and clean bitterness. Fruit tones underneath. Lingering bitterness in balanced malty/fruity finish. A tasty, complex and well-crafted ale. Yum!

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2013 On gravity at the brewery open day. Pecan pie and caramel on the nose, leading into a peppery, nutty, sweetish body with a good alcohol bite and a hint of apple. The finish is dry. Re-rate in bottle, aged for 3 years: deep red-brown with a big fluffy cream head and a peppery hop nose with a hint of toffee. Body is dry and bitter, then with a little fruit and caramelised nut emerging, a very faint touch of honey, and then a drying, sharply bitter finish. Impressive.
