COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Pale with a big character all to itself. Once in the glass it has an outwardly simple and easy going golden appearance but it comes with lots of baggage! A well balanced mellow malt gives the beer a clear and rich body whilst a myriad of well selected hops leaves the beer with a wonderfully crisp late bitter finish.

Danish yard, Coventry BF 2014, 04/04/14. Brilliant slim lidded gold. Drain and weak conifer nose. Soggy almost entirely cashew flavour; mineral heavy water, greasy pale nut, heavily cushioned hop punch. Lagery with an alka seltzer saltiness. Inoffensive but Pretty feeble.

Barrel at London Drinker 13.3.14. Pale golden bitter with no haze and minimal head. Little aroma, tastes like a light bitter with a solid lemon citrus which pervades (but doesn’t change) in the long finish. Some peppery hops in the mouth which disappear fairly pronto. Decent session ale for spring/summer.

Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Real Ale Festival 2014)
Lovely UK real ale aroma, some eggy sulfur, but I love real ale so much this is a smell of home. Very simular in the taste. It’s a classic simple English twiggy bitter. Finish undergrowthy and earthy. Damn, I’ve missed Real Ale.

Cask @ Gallows Bird. Pale golden, thin white head. Nutty, fruity aroma, mango comes to mind. Flavor has fruity hops, citrus mostly, nutty notes. Dry, bitter finish. Average +.

Cask at the Gallows Bird, Espoo, Finland. Clear golden colour with a small white head. Fruity hops, moderate bitterness, liquorice dryness and grainy malt in the aroma. Nice. The flavour is grainy malt, dryness, fruity and floral hops, moderate bitterness and mild sweetness. Quite nice. A bit thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear golden with a bubbly head. Aroma of bready malts, hints of caramel, grassy hops and fruits. Taste is smooth, slightly hoppy and fruity with some malty notes. Finish is smooth, slightly bitter and malty. Okay.

Cask @ Gallows Bird ⅩⅦ Real Ale Festival
Aroma is musty with gooseberry bush and some lager-like grainy tones. Flavour is bitter in a harsh way with hops, grass, some herbal tones, minerals and grain. Decent.

Bottle. Thanks bigbro. Pours clear dark golden with a small, creamy, white head. Aroma has light cheese, pine, citrus. Medium carbonation, fairly light and quite dry mouthfeel. Flavour has pine, grass, mild doughy malts. Long, lingering piney bitterness. Fine balance, even if it feels a tad homebrewy.
