THIS IS A COLLABORATION OF 13 QUÉBÉCOIS BREWERS.

Bottled sample via brewedge. Gold in colour with strong carbonation and a bit of haze. Aromas are of under-ripe apricot, lemon peel, and herbs. Flavors are a blend of fleshy orchard fruit, white pepper, raw wheat, earth, and a bit of cut grass. Starts off medium bodied, but dries out fairly well. Fairly good, but a touch too fruity and rich on the palate for me.

[5212-20130412] Big bottle. Lemony saison yeast and pencil lead aroma. Hazy, orange body with a huge long-lasting foamy white head and nice lacing. Bitter lemon zesty yeast continues in the flavour. Medium body has a strange lively yeast feel on the tongue. Delicious! (8/4/8/4/17) 4.1

750mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of floral hops, Belgian yeast, and some mild fruity esters. Flavour brings out quite a hoppy profile, with dry floral hops, some Belgian yeast and dry crisp biscuity malt. Really flavourful and dry on the palate. Quite complex, with a great yeasty character. Excellent saison.

750ml. bottle from Peluso in Montréal.The color is a clear honey with a thick off white head and nice lace. The aroma is of hops and spicies and herbs with malt. The taste also like the above with added yeast and some cereals. This was a delit for the taste buds.

Bottle courtesy of Paul at Andy’s. Pours a light, glowing golden orange body with thin, active white lacing. Aroma is spice, yeast, pepper, and a light floralness. Mouthfeel is crisp and active with notes of Belgian yeast, crisp grassy hop, slightly peppery and additional spices.

Bottle an Andy’s courtesy of Paul by way of Dany. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Big and musky, soft and lightly sweet with a touch of citrus. Light and easy drinking with a good amount of musk with some floral bitterness. Very nice, long lingering musk.

In short: An original leafy/herbal golden Saison with a generous fruity hopping.
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed 5 months after the beer release.
The look: Mostly clear golden body topped by a medium white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is pleasantly countryside-rustic well integrate flowery pepper spiciness. Taste ha cookie dough, lemon muffin, tea leafs, fun yeast, citrus fruits, pineapples, herbs, a mild spiciness. Big doughy mouthfeel with a lively carbonation. Good attenuation. A bitterness that this more reminiscent of the some of the bitter Oolong or green teas I drink everyday than that of typical hop bitterness. An very original Saison that goes off the beaten path while still retaining the essential characteristics of a good Saison. A beer brewed for a local tv show about craftbeer called “Ça Va Brasser!”, because of television and beer my living room couch is now a reverse tanning bed.
