This dark ale pours a deep black color from a 12 oz blue glass bottle. Little to no head present. Aroma is VERY sweet, caramel, with just a touch of cardboard and vegetable. A light to medium bodied dark lager. Malts are very sweet, mostly caramel with some cola like tastes. Kind of thin and watery and then there are a lot of cardboard flavors, which intensifies as it warms. No good. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. Finish is crisp and a little harsh. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

At least the bottle and label were alright, the bottle being a nicely embossed blue (and weighty!). All downhill from there, pouring a frothy tan head of rather short endurance. The body was dark, really dark, but the aroma left much to be desired. The smell and I do mean smell was a regrettable combination of malt and something else. Not encouraging as to what the taste might hold. I was not disappointed, as my mouth was assailed by a most unpleasant mixture of what might’ve been carob or chicory and god knows what else. The topping on this sh*t cake was the thin, watery mouthfeel. The finish was quite unbeerlike. Easily one of the worst beers I’ve ever been subjected to.

Blue bottle. Dark, malty, and an interesting aroma of coffee and malt. Tastes quite malty and well, the best way to describe it is unique. Not wonderful, but defiantly not bad. Found this in a little shop while venturing out on the Mexican bus system. One of the more interesting Mexican beers I was able to find throughout my vacation.

Real dark color, aroma of toasted malt, very watery, not bad, but i prefer Cerveza Potro also and mexican porter.

Very roasty aroma. The beer is much thinner than the aroma in a way disappointing. It’s almost watery. Cool bottle though.

Tasted just once at a party in 12 oz. blue bottle, sold separately at Gigante for 14.50 pesos about 1.20 dlls.I tasted straight from the bottle, because there wasnt any glasses or cups around, so i couldnt see the appearance, the aroma was a very awful, but the actual taste was mild, with vegetable flavour and a very organic aftertaste, so at the palate was very pleasent.I think its a beer made for dinner. Worth trying!
