Deep brown-black hue with an average-sized, tan, creamy head. Aromas of instant coffee, dried prunes, and baker’s chocolate. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter finish. Slightly astringent. Medium-light body, watery texture, average carbonation.

black, with very little tan head, has a very light plastic chocolate and weak coffee thing goin on in the aroma, and some wet grass/ Check that, it smells much like a pot of brewing coffee, like cheap ass instant coffee.

Pours black w/ a tight off-white head. Notes of caramel and chocolate in the nose. Soft thin body w/ very little CO2. Flavors are bland and are enwrapped with diacetyl. I ended up using the rest of the sixer for baking bread. Worked pretty well for that.

Dark reddish brown. Milky, latte aroma. All the regular players are here for a stout - chocolate, coffee, burnt toast. Rich and tasty. Later on a slightly smoky aroma emerges. The body is kind of thinnish, which actually seems to add to the appeal.
