2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BBB63 (5023) - La Porte, USA - MAR 31, 2004
Very dark brown with soem amber highligts and small fading head and little lace. The aroma hints of chocolate, caramel, currents, coffee, lactic tones, floral hops, and earthy yeast esters. The taste starts mostly bittersweet with a mocha and sourness character. Additional undertones of coffee and some smoke. The finish is bitter and chalky. The mouthfeel is thin and fizzy. Average stout at best. Lacks depth and the sourness becomes too much. Thanks for the taste of NM, Eric.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 22, 2005
Deep brown-black hue with an average-sized, tan, creamy head. Aromas of instant coffee, dried prunes, and baker’s chocolate. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter finish. Slightly astringent. Medium-light body, watery texture, average carbonation.

black, with very little tan head, has a very light plastic chocolate and weak coffee thing goin on in the aroma, and some wet grass/ Check that, it smells much like a pot of brewing coffee, like cheap ass instant coffee.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 erway (1004) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JAN 15, 2005
Pours black w/ a tight off-white head. Notes of caramel and chocolate in the nose. Soft thin body w/ very little CO2. Flavors are bland and are enwrapped with diacetyl. I ended up using the rest of the sixer for baking bread. Worked pretty well for that.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Suttree (3927) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 14, 2004
Dark reddish brown. Milky, latte aroma. All the regular players are here for a stout - chocolate, coffee, burnt toast. Rich and tasty. Later on a slightly smoky aroma emerges. The body is kind of thinnish, which actually seems to add to the appeal.
2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 MrRomero (1964) - Nolanville, Texas, USA - MAY 5, 2004
Pours pitch black with a medium dark tan head. Starts off with a moderate aroma of roasted chocolate malt. The flavor is coffee with a touch of chocolate. The finish is salty and tastes like an Alka Seltzer. Not very good. Very disappointed in this one.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Hoss (606) - Florida, USA - MAY 2, 2004
Nice large head poured into my glass. A nice mixture of coffee and chocolate in the flavor. A very decent stout and a Guiness want to be
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 flutetokill (521) - Fresno, California, USA - APR 8, 2004
Very dark brown color with a very small tan head. Roasted coffee bean and chocolate aroma. Lactose sourness, roasted coffee bean and chocolate flavors. Extremely thin and watery feel.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 loweredsixth (946) - Clovis, California, USA - APR 8, 2004
Extremely dark brown (maybe black) with a small, sickly tan head. The aroma was very roasty and smokey...a lot of coffee and some cocoa. The flavor was full of coffee tones with a definite lactic sourness lurky in there. The feel was way too thin and watery...pretty much killed the experience.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (6834) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 3, 2004
Pours a thick robust black with a thin tan head. Aroma is lightly burnt and kinda reminds me of mixed vegetables. Body is thin but has a nice mellow sweetness to it and is quite drinkable. Finishes faintly sweet with a lingering roasted coffee bean flavor. This could use a little more body and a nicer aroma, but pretty good for what I would consider a session stout. Thanks to whaleman for this one!
