JPDIPSO (4345), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Oct 9, 2004 Fairly flat pour. Lightly hazed copper color with a few lonely cream colored bubbles adrift on top. Earthy caramel aroma. Interesting brew. Rather dry malt flavors. Not much malt character and a buttery and herbal hops flavor. Long bitter finsih. Thanks for another state TannerTavernboys. Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Sep 4, 2004 12oz bottle-pours a copper amber hue with minimal white head and mild carbonation. malty, fruty, earthy hop estery aroma-slightly buttery hops also. flavros are caramel/toffee malts, earthy hops. Some mild diacytl, but was covered up by the malts. slightly thin body, but a long malty, hoppy finish. erway (1001), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Aug 28, 2004 Since when did English Pale mean something was very malty sweet with no hop aroma and even less hop flavor. This is another dissapointing American amber. Braudog (3464), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 6, 2004 This used to be my neighborhood brewery when I lived in ABQ; they’re no longer in the same location and I think they got absorbed by Rio Grande. But in any case, I made a point to pick up a 6-pack of this while passing thru NM. This is a nice light amber color. The aroma is rich -- malty and toasty. What follows is a nice caramel-sugar flavor, with a sense of New Mexican baked corn? It’s never as good as you remember, but this was better than most. MrRomero (1913), Louisville, Kentucky, USA May 2, 2004 Amber in color with a white head. Had a big malty aroma right off the bat. Medium malt taste with a little hops. Finishes a little thin. Pretty decent if you like English pales as I do.
