Bottle from the Natomas BevMo. Pours light amber with a slight white head. Smells more malty than hoppy. Flavor is pretty light, and it quickly takes on a paper aspect. It is bitter - it has that going for it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Mora2000 (4059) - McKinney, Texas, USA - DEC 31, 2010
Thanks to mar for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the biscuit malt with some grassy hops mixed in. The flavor is toffee and some grassy hops. In a pale ale, I want a little bit more hop character than what I am getting in this beer. I also wish there was some pine or citrus in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A decent attempt at an American Pale Ale, but this one falls short.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (3267) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 9, 2013
355ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a small white head that leaves very little lacing behind. Aroma is mild citrus and cereal grains. Taste is light citrus bitterness with some metallic notes a grainy malty sweetness. Certainly, this is not a craft Pale Ale, taste only slightly better than a typical lager.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 DarkElf (2961) - La Jolla, California, USA - JAN 31, 2011
31-Jan-11 (12-oz bottle: BevMo in Solana Beach, CA) So, the marketers have dubbed this beer as Small Batch 00058. Amusing little subterfuge they have going on. Anyway, this is a simple, pleasant-tasting pale ale with nice balance. The malt base is toasty, nutty, and slightly caramely, and the hops are grassy and floral with gentle bitterness. The moderately aromatic nose pretty much matches the flavors; hops are floral and slightly grassy while the malts smell nutty and toasty, but the balance seems more toward the floral hops. Light-medium in weight with medium carbonation and a clean, crisp, and dry mouthfeel. Clear, golden-orange body, capped by half an inch of whitish head that settles to a dusting, leaving some small spots of lace on the glass. Not much here, but it’s easy to drink and pleasant, which is perfect for this beer’s target audience: the casual craft beer drinker. And it’s much better than the other non-seasonal Cable Car brews (Amber and Lager).
