COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised nitro-keg and nitro-can beer.
"A smooth, creamy ale." Introduced in 1994 as a 4.8% Irish Ale by Bass at Caffrey's Ulster brewery, and promoted strongly with an advertising campaign of "strong words softly spoken". Interbrew took over in 2000, soften the recipe and attempted to catch the lager market, using a new promotion of "a storm brewing". Coors acquired the brand in 2002. Initially contract brewed by Interbrew for Coors at Ulster, the brand eventually moved to Coor's Tower Brewery in Tadcaster.

beautiful looking brew. Creamy head that leaves a nice lace on the glass. Slightly bitter. You can easily drink this all night long.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2003 Light hop and oaky aroma. Creamy head that lasts the whole beer and love the cascade. Creamy, soft, but watery and flat mouthfeel. Tastes lightly bitter with a hint of sweetness, but the watery feel takes away from the flavour.

Sweet honey/clover like nose. Dense foamy nitrogen head, blah. Light amber colour. This is relatively boring. Reminds one of an English Mild or Bitter. Light apples, hay, poo...Thin body, its like friggin water here damn it. Luckily I wont ever have to drink this again.

A good Irish cream ale. Served on nitro gives a the signature cascading beer glass. Some caramel on the nose but it's hard to pick up because of the N2. Medium to light body and english hops abounding.

Dark, creamy. Not all that bitter, which makes it good, becuase as much as I love bitterness- I don't like it with these types.

Amber colour and a nice creamy, persistent head (actually it depends a lot on who serves the beer...). This beer has a good malty taste and a light caramel aftertaste. Refreshing and pleasant to drink!

Amber w/ creamy nitrogenated head. Slight malt aroma, no hops. Somewhat creamy but watery feel. Very bland. Some fruitiness & maltiness. Very mild bitterness.
