COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised nitro-keg and nitro-can beer.
May alse be / have been produced at Tadcaster.
"A smooth, creamy ale." Introduced in 1994 as a 4.8% Irish Ale by Bass at Caffreyís Ulster brewery, and promoted strongly with an advertising campaign of "strong words softly spoken". Interbrew took over in 2000, soften the recipe and attempted to catch the lager market, using a new promotion of "a storm brewing". Coors acquired the brand in 2002. Initially contract brewed by Interbrew for Coors at Ulster, the brand eventually moved to Coorís Tower Brewery in Tadcaster.
The ABV was reduced from 4.8% to 4.2% in 2001 and, in March 2010, was further reduced to 3.8%. ABV may vary in export markets.

Aluminium bottle from Murat Food Centre, Gedling Street, Nottingham. The packaging proudly boasts this is a Premium Irish Ale. Except that it isnít Irish - itís brewed in North Yorkshire. And it isnít all that premium, either - not when itís a misely 3.8 ABV and pours flatter than any beer I have ever known. I suspect this isnít how itís meant to look as it had less head than Charles I. In its defence the aroma isnít bad at all - strong and toasty hops with some sweet syrup notes. Alas, what initial bitterness there is fades quicker than you can say thisisnotanirishbeer and it has a very thin, watery mouthfeel. Not the best fake Irish beer in the world.

Geel rode gloed nauwelijks c02 of schuim op de koppige nep smaak van donker mout ontbreekt elke smaak en krijg je een vieze droge mond

Pours a finger of head on a hazy darker straw body. The aroma is a nice grain and milk smell. The taste is simple and unoffensive, mild dark fruits and mild bitterness. The texture is smooth and soft. An easy drinking ale.

Light amber with a white creamy head that lasts the whole pint.† Not much of an aroma to speak of. Taste bitter hops, but suprisingly watery. Light body. No personality

Huge beige creamy head. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing. Light-amber, thick, clear body. "Quicksand effect". Aroma: moderate malt and caramel. Initial flavor: moderate sweet very light bitter. Sabor final: light bitter sweet; average duration. Palate: oily texture, medium body, flat carbonation, metallic finish. Beautiful head. Bland taste, slightly malty. 20s

0.473 tap. Very hazy, dark gold color and a small, creamy, white head of awesome retention. Aroma of yeasts, nitrogen, and pale malts. Sweet malty taste of bread and what seems like a sweetener. Light body, slick texture, and flat carbonation. Finish is short, sweet, and malty. Overall a very mediocre brew.

Keg . Seamus inn , Torquay , Devon. Had this after mackerel fishin on a boat that was rocky as fuck. Cream flow kinda appearance ,honey kissed . Nose of nothing but generic cream. Flavours of toffee ,cream, honey , Apple . Itís not shitty ,just blah and soulless . I thought this would be an Irish Ale on the database but itís a bull shit Bitter.

Keg from the Cock Inn, Attleborogh. Golden with a big white head. Awful purty. Smells of chemicals. Not a lot of beer scents in there. Tastes of chemical, metal and grain. Thin body. No personality. I think Iíd almost prefer it if it were actively awful.
