2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 SilkTork (4736) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, - MAR 30, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2005 Sept, 2002:Canned rat’s piss with a dubious teenage ejaculation. [0.9]
March, 2003: Dead beer pumped with nitro, served in a cinema bar while waiting for the film to start. I wasn’t being critical - I just drank it for what it was. It served a purpose and I finished the whole pint. It was mostly devoid of flavour and character and quality, but it was wet and smooth. Upped a few points, just for not being seriously nasty. [1.2]
Nov, 2003: Nitro-keg, Le Meridian Hotel, Heathrow. Acceptable if you don’t think about it. Not to be drunk slowly or in big gulps otherwise you’ll catch the tang of bad hops. This is all about smoothness and blandness and little thought. [1.3]
March, 2005: Nitro-can. Softly hopped and apple sweet beer pumped with nitro. Nothing like an Irish Ale. Mostly inoffensive with some plus and some minus points. [2.1]

Fooled into thinking this was going to be as good as the original, 3.8% is for children or tourists that think they are getting the real thing

Metal bottle 19/05/12. A classic brown coloured beer which pours headless and looks flat. A sweet creamy aroma with pretty much nothing in the mouth. Some cold tea. Dull boring and lacking ingredients.

Has changed a bit recently, but the smooth light bitter character still remains.

Aluminium bottle from b&m in Blaydon. A dark amber beer with a very smooth, creamy mouthfeel, a slight malty and toffee flavour and a fruity, slight bitter finish.
2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 kerenmk (413) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAY 3, 2012
Nitro can. Pours clear dark copper brown with a creamy white head. Sweet malty aroma with some water from canned corn as well. Very mild bitterness, delicate sweetness. Smooth, light body, feels like watered-down bitter.
2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 foxo82 (162) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2012
Aluminium bottle from Murat Food Centre, Gedling Street, Nottingham. The packaging proudly boasts this is a Premium Irish Ale. Except that it isn’t Irish - it’s brewed in North Yorkshire. And it isn’t all that premium, either - not when it’s a misely 3.8 ABV and pours flatter than any beer I have ever known. I suspect this isn’t how it’s meant to look as it had less head than Charles I. In its defence the aroma isn’t bad at all - strong and toasty hops with some sweet syrup notes. Alas, what initial bitterness there is fades quicker than you can say thisisnotanirishbeer and it has a very thin, watery mouthfeel. Not the best fake Irish beer in the world.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Cuso (1766) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - MAR 28, 2012
I used to drink it many years ago, when I traveled to London. And now somebody brought me a can. Golden color with huge white head. Aroma of grain, grass, caramel, malt. Taste, almost watery, hints of sweet malt, grain, herbal notes. Very light bitterness in finish.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 hawthorne00 (1435) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 17, 2012
Can, 3.8%ABV. Golden amber with a thick cream head. Aroma of caramel and grass, some flowers. Sweet caramel, with some tea. Enough bitterness to maintain vague interest.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 pushkinwow (865) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 15, 2012
On tap last week for lunch. Full amber colour with a very nice creamy tan head. Unfortunately nothing apart from the looks delivered. Some caramel, malt, and light hops but a very mellow aroma with neither anything too distinctive nor anything of note. Mild sweetness, becomes dry, thin body and moderate carbonation, slightly bitter on the finish.
