Legend has it the fishermen of Central America sought the Great Loggerhead Turtle in warm tropical waters. It was tribal belief that this powerful turtle, also known as the "Caguama", symbolized good fortune for the fisherman’s village. It’s our hope that you too will experience the good fortune of the "Caguama". Salud!

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2008 Bottle: Pale yellow, could be described as translucid. Pours abolsutely with no fizz at all, not a trace of a head.

Smells skunky. Very clear in appearance. Not too much flavor to speak of, but is pretty easy to sip on.

My local grocry store had this for some reason...the cool sea turtle design and painted bottles lured me in. A weak beer in the Corona theme...I won’t call it a Corona knock-off, but it’s close. Throw a lime or even an orange slice in it, and you’ll sip it too. Congrats, El Salvador.

I was upset, this was worse than Corona. San Lucas isn’t worse than Corona,... but this is. BLAH!

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2005 I enjoyed this beer. A local store that specializes in imports had it the 32 oz bottles on sale for 99 cents, so it was hard to pass up. reminded me of corona. lime is a must. the painting on the bottle is very pretty.

Bottle - wow. Only half a shade darker than Zima. Aroma is a mixture of spicy hops and skunk. Flavor, what little there is, is sweet corn and just a hint of skunk. Not good, not offensive, will not have another.

Looks very yellow in its weird 32 oz glass bottle. Aroma is very grain and some light malt of some sort. Flavor is mild and refreshing on a hot day. Not a terrible beer and definetely not offensive in any way.

Beer pours a light yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly malty and grainy. Falvor is slightly sweet intitially but finishes with some bitterness and dry. Not an offensive beer just fairly bland. Suggest you drink it cold with lime on a hot summer day. Chips and salsa also a must.

Yeah, this WAS my idea, I'll take responsibility for it. OK, here it goes. Pours straw colored, not colorful, more clear than yellow. Light fizzy head that dissapears quick. Flavor is lightly malty with spoiled hops and skunk, with a beer this clear I think a fire fly would skunk it. Flavor is bland, tastless, acrid. Finish is horrible, makes me wish I was a holocaust victim. I won't try this again.

This was Buck_Dich's idea. Pours very pale yellow, nearing waterlike appearance. The agressive pour left a mighty head, then I happened to blink and it was gone. The aroma smacked me in the face from about three feet away. Acrid odor of malt gone bad. Sharp malts in the flavor, my stomach doesn't like it much. A rush of bitter hops at the end. Not the good kind of hops either. Overall, it's a beer that I'll never have the "pleasure" of drinking again.
