COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oka Uba IPA has been described as liquid candy. Weighing in at only 57 IBU’s (International Bittering Units), Oka Uba proves that hoppy IPA’s don’t have to be oppressively bitter. Premium malts and lots of late hop additions will make this one of the most drinkable IPAs you’ve ever put in your mouth.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of perfume, tropical fruits, citrus, and caramel malt. Flavor of sweet tropical fruits up front followed by more fruits, lemon, bready malt, and grassy hops. A fruity and flavorful IPA! 8/4/8/4/14 (3.8/5)

Draft. Light copper color with a small white head and nice lacing. Floral aroma with a resin and citrus hop flavor. Medium body with a medium bitter hop finish.

Get it with fresh hops by visiting the brewery in Birmingham. Good folks up there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Poured amber with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are piney and citrusy, only moderately bitter. Some caramel. Medium mouthfeel. Sessionable if not for the high ABV (if it is, in fact, 8% -- didn’t seem it to me).

Tried this at Rocket City Brew Fest. It was being pumped through additional hops, and I didn’t make it over to try the straight tap version. However, it was quite nice and citrus with the standard piney notes you’d expect. The only note I took was that I didn’t find it as heavy as some of the other IPAs. The description says it was brewed to be more approachable (less bitter). Cool but the I in the IPA usually says get ready for the bitter. Overall, though, pretty good. I didn’t realize it was 8% at all.
