Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, small white creamy head, nice lace. Aroma is fruits, hops and mild notes of wheat. Flavour is honey, wheat and some fruityness. Not much aftertaste.

Cask (GBBF 2008) - Golden coloured. Slightly citric and malt aroma. Slightly sweet taste with some lemon notes. It certainly doesn’t taste like it is 5%.

Cask at GBBF 08. Mid amber with a declining white head. Sweet with a slight honey tinge to the aroma and taste. Smooth, with the alcohol well-hidden.

Cask (handpump) at Doctor Duncans, Liverpool. After appearing on and off throughout the 5 year run up to Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture, this is currently badged as 2008 Culture Beer now that the actual event is getting under way. Pale gold. Rather low condition, leading to a somewhat flat mouthfeel. Distinctly fruity aroma. Lots of citric character in the flavour. lemony twist on the finish. Reasonably tasty but a the thin, flat mouthfeel left this feeling a bit short of presence for a 5% beer.

Pint pulled at The Harp in Covent Garden, a very pale and hazy amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma combines some nice malt and flowery hops. An enjoyable sweet malty flavour, some caramal toffee, and lightly hopped.
