Smooth but metallic, not entirely interesting or offensive. Smells like corn and copper, some bread notes apparent. Alcohol is apparent but not overwhelming.

29/11 0.5 l can bought in a Casino store in Menton. It poured pale yellow body with smaller head. Lemony aroma, somewhat malty and alcoholic, although typical for the style not bad at all. Lemony and sweetish sugary flavor, some alcohol punch in that medium thick and heavily carbonized body. Finish was longer, warming and sweetish to sourish lemony. OK and drinkable ESL.

0.5l can brewed by Faxe, found in Italy or maybe France with heavy (with whom I’ve shared this)<be> Poured a slightly pale golden colour with a small white head. Weak malty nose with notes of alcohol. The teaste was a bit lemony to my surprise, malt, alcohol, some cardboard, but nothing too offensive. Slightly dry near the end. Kinda drinkable despite everything.

Found in 500ml can style in Paris, dodging social assistance types in the process. Fookin’ hippies always harshin’ my vibe. Yeah, I drank another one of these colossal "European Strong Lagers" before this so I’m a little bit tweaked, but what the hell eh, we all gotta go sometime. Pours with a blasée kind of thin head and a boring soft yellow colour, smells like cider once you chill it a little. Taste is syrup, rusty toilet pipes, some alcohol. Okay mouthfeel. Just aboot what I expected - not very good at all.

Faxe can from the Marais Monoprix. Amber tinged gold color with a frothy multifinger white head. Aroma is fruit with a bit of mild spice. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is mild pepper spice with grain. There is a bit of heat. Not exactly dry. Another strong beer that is better than Camo.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JAN 15, 2009
Can, 8.4%. Very peppery aroma, some paint as well. Clear golden colour, small white head. The flavour is not as bad as the aroma, but not excellent either. Very peppery flavour, a little OK maltiness. Some rough hoppiness. Unpolished, to say the least, but feels less rough and more malty after a few sips.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 6, 2007
Another big can of cheap, powerful lager...I can’t get enough of these! /sarcasm. Anyway, this one pours a respectable medium gold hue and has an almost frothy white head, with some large bubbles, that fades somewhat quickly. The aroma fairly clean, very straightforward lager feel to it; malty and sweet, with a touch of candied pineapples and alcohol. Not too far from a bland, white table wine, actually. There’s a bit of paper like dryness to it and some light, herbal hops. Much as I expected from the aroma, the flavour is quite simple and sweet with a bit of grape flavoured vodka alcohol taste in the finish. There’s something of a plasticine element as well that is quite off-putting. In fact, that flavour seems to build and coat the mouth...rather unpleasant. Despite the sweetness there’s a strong drying effect with this beer and almost a salty quality to it. With some warmth the aroma develops strong notes of plastic. Basically, this one massively and quickly derails above refrigerator temperatures. Medium to full bodied with a sticky texture and vigorous carbonation. 50cl can, Leffe goblet, bbe 15/08/08.
