2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Tinned, 440ml, pasteurised from Asda, Leamington Spa. Dark brown with white head, carbonated. Heavy mild, quite thick on the pallate although tricky to get the flavour through the carbonation. Some coffee and sweet malt, but little else. Worth a try though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Can 44 cl) Courtesy of Bov. Clear, dark, reddish brown with a small, beige head. roasted, slightly burned aroma. Very light in body, watery and a little flat. Burned malt accents, a whiff of smoke and ashes. Lightly sweet with a subdued bitterness. This for sure is proof that even a light beer can be rich in flavours. 310807

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A canned mild you say? Hints of black currents and treckle in the nose, roasted barley. Taste is similar the malt is a bit raw perhaps like you can really taste the malt, but its clean and balanced nice and sweet, super drinkable very nicely carbonated for a canned product.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cost 39 pence from Micheals supermarket in Coventry rd Birmingham.
Definitely value for money although don’t think that i would have paid full retail for it. Canned with a slight trace of malt and no tinniness that you sometimes get. More body than you would expect from a mild of this strength. A bargain!
