4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a great 3.2 beer. Pours a dark brown with a small tan head. This beer is creamy goodness, it has a sweet and roasted dark malt flavor. There is also a great chocolate and coffee taste with a yummy hoppy under tone. The only negative to this beer is it is slightly watered down.

500 ml can
I am a little disappointed in not getting to try something from the area while in England but that is a good reason to go back. In the meantime this county tick is a respectable beer if you still happen across it. It is nothing special and being transported across the ocean does it no favors. That said I have had worse mild ales.
Aroma / Appearance - Velvety chocolate fluid pours easily into the pint glass. A mocha head remains from the vigorous pour. Chocolate cream pie, sweet malts, and gentle roasted notes accent a mostly balanced and low key mild.
Flavor / Palate - The body is a trace thin even for a mild ale. Cool coffee and inexpensive chocolate alternate the primary focus before a soothing low key finish. Fading quickly there is not much left after the final sip. If you want a fair representation of the English mild style this does a good job. However there are certainly better offerings out there when on the other side of the ocean.

500ml can from The Beer Cellar. Super black in colour with a big frothy head. Roast malt aroma with a thin mouthfeel. Big flavour for a small alcohol content.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
16oz can thanks to devman! Clear brown. Smaller creamy coffee head. Nose is fruit juice, cherry juice box, cinnamon perhaps. Taste is watery, metallic, apple skins, mild coffee. Pretty decent creaminess as it warms. Lactic dairy character, mild chocolate milk. Not so bad.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 15/20
Iíve been working my way through a sixer of cans and havenít regretted the purchase in the least. The principal character here is how watery and thin the body is, even for style, but thatís overcome by quality of flavor. Nose is sweet with dark roast and a little chocolate, taste much the same with a strain of nuts. Pours deep brown-black with a creamy, dense light brown head. Body, despite the thinness, is ultra-smooth and nearly as creamy as a widgeted nitro offering (itís not). This is incredibly repeatable, easy-going without childishness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown pour, black in the glass. The head is a foamy beige ring for the most part. The aroma is chewy toffee, mild roast, slightly oxidized, and a hint of treacle. The flavor is slightly burnt toffee, with a trace of hops and an abrupt, balanced finish. Light yet full on the palate, with very soft carbonation, and a clean back end. Really enjoyed this one.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Black Color, Creamy Head with Long Retention, Good Lacing. Light Chocolate, toasted, light bitter, creamy malt finish. My guess that 3.2% ABV means Mild Ale classification, otherwise Iíd put it in Stout style since it resembles Guinness or Murphyís. Good.
