Commercial Description:
Cask, Regular;
Only ratings for the cask version to be entered here. The bottles and canned versions are pasteurised and have a separate listing.
Cains FA is no small beer: despite its deceptively pale golden colour, it boasts a big, smooth flavour and strong punch. Brewed with the finest English malts, and conditioned in cask with dry hops to produce fresh hop aromas and a fuller flavour, delighting the mouth and stimulating the tongue.

Carmel, with dry hops a full flavoured beer, and I would say more balanced towards malt than the commercial description says. Page 96 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer guide and 136 of 500 Classic Brews to go. I almost forgot this one from my trip to England.

Cask at Doctor Duncan’s, Liverpool. This is a good, well rounded bitter. The flavour has sweet malt redolent of dark fruit with a decent amount of dry hops in the finish. Not quite as good as the 2008 Culture Beer.

1/2 pint handpull cask at Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Golden color, small white head. Aroma is sweet malt and some hops. Flavor is fruity with some hops and sweet malt. Not bad at all!

Cask at troon beer fest 07. Aroma is sweet and floural, hints of somethiong like heather or honey. Taste is similar again a bit too sweet.

Cask (gravity dispense), Ealing Beer Festival, May 2006. Golden colour. Reasonably hoppy, with the emphasis on citrus. Dry in the mouth and drier on the finish. Light fruity touches. Quite tasty.
