Bottle. A lightly unclear, golden beer with a minimal sized, off-white head. Malt forward beer with an obvious raisin aroma. Some citrusy, earthy hoppyness. Dry, full-bodied and a bit hard on the carbonation. Lightly roasted caramel flavor with the raisins shining through. Some bitterness in the finish. Nothing wrong with this one, but it’s really, really boring. 111112

Pours clear deep golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, sugar, raisin and light grassy hops. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle of 50 cl. Amber with a white head. Aroma of malt, fruit, caramel and small hints of raisin. Flavor with notes of caramel and raisin fruit but felt not. Dry mouth feel and a nice hop bitterness in the end

Bottled. A dark brown coloured beer with a tiny whitish head. A very full aroma of brown fruits and sweet booze with a hint of spice too. Fruity in the mouth but quite dry in the finish. Deep fruits. Quite nice and interesting.

500ml Bottle pours amber with an offwhite head. Aroma is, unsuprisingly, fruity, and the taste is Juicy plump rasins and beer. I know comparisons are odious, but how come this combination works to good effect, while Wells Banana Bread doesn’t (for me)?

Bottled (2nd CS/ES Beer Gathering, thanks JP!). Goldeny amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is malty, berryish and also has some slight notes of raisins, floral and grassy hops. Flavour is mild raisins, sweet malts, red berries and some floral and grassy notes. Wellbalanced.

Medium offwhite head. Clear amber body. Fruity earthy raisiny aroma with perfumy notes. Dry-sweet plastic earthy mealy taste with wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry fruity earthy plastic aftertaste with mealy buttery notes. Not bad, but could do without the plastic. (0.1l from bottle at DBF’11.)

Bottle from Bargain Booze. Pours amber with a very fine white head. An amber ale with a grape/raisin aftertaste that is not strong. Over carbonated in my opinion.
