Bottle. Amber beer. Quite hoppy aroma, I can´t detect any raisins in aroma or taste, quite disappointing. Taste malty and quite weak.

Alas, my last bottle from the shores of England thanks to my friend
wyzzywyz22. Decent fruit beer with a nice subtle aroma of malt, grass and just a hint of raisins.Nice looking clear amber with a small head. All beer looks good to me though. Flavor is subdued with a nice balance of malt and hops with just a touch of the raisins. Better than I thought after seeing the label. Oh and by the looks of it, just the second Yank to rate it.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: Sweet raisin with a earthy malt smell. Appearance: Redish amber, light bubbles, with a small head that dissapates. Taste: More pleasant than the aroma with a taste of the obvious raisin, sweet honey, and sugary malt. Palate: Fairly full bodied and quite a lively feel in the mouth. The finish is sweet. Overall: A mixed beer with some good qualities, it’s less obvious than you might think and is definitely worth a try.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle bought within a mile of the brewery. Pours a dull clear amber with slight indigo hue. Raisin aroma, nutmeg?, hops. Thin clear taste with fresh raisin hint (not cloying and thick as feared) something like an iced tea. dry, pippy, slight bitter finish. Pleasant surprise.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: Reddish amber in colour, with a creamy head of fine bubbles. Lightly carbonated.
Aroma: Sugary malts, with a strong spiciness, possibly cinnamon. The smell of dark fruits is clear, led by raisins. Slightly metallic. There is also a dusty smell, like an old room...yeah, weird, huh?
Taste: The flavours are fruity, supported by the strong raisin and grape tastes. There is a mellow sweetness that persists through to the end, which is characterised by subtle fruit sugars, and a faint honey.
Mouthfeel: The body is on the heavy side of medium. Quite clingy feel, but smooth texture.
Drinkability: This beer seems to evoke a love or hate response, manly due to its irregular flavours. I come down more on the ’love’ side but this is due to the taste. The aromas are not great, and had me expecting something terrible from the taste but I was pleasantly surprised by the rich fruity malts and gentle sweetness. An unusual beer but a good one; try it!

Bottle from Sainsburys, Warrington. Very lively pour, with a big off-white head and plenty of carbonation. Prominent raisin aroma with some caramel and spicy hops. Fruity flavour, with more sweetness and a short, bitter finish. The raisin edge became cloying as more of the bottle was drunk. Ok.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle 500ml from Morrisons in Barry. Amber pour with no head. Aroma of stewed vine fruits. Unsurprisingly, vine fruits come through in the flavour. As Fin points out, there is an artificial sweetness to it. The aftertaste is just like that of a 1970s 1 cal drink. Nothing particularly warms me towards this one
