A regular winner of awards for quality and flavour, and winner of the silver medal at the International Brewing Industry Awards 2002, this refreshing yet full-bodied bitter is a favourite with beer drinkers everywhere. The rich flavours of premium malt and goldings hops are unmistakable in this well balanced, traditionally brewed bitter.

Can from Malt & Vine. Pours dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is med caramel with citrus/floral. Med body, nearly. Flavor is roasty malt with some fruit/floral. Light pitted fruit, but the finish is more bitter and malty. Decent drink.

Can. Poured clear light brown color with an average off-white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Medium toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a thin smooth texture and soft carbonation. Pours dark coppery amber with a small, frothy, off-white film head. Aroma is doughy, light caramel, mildly toasted. Highish carbonation, a tad thin and watery. Flavour has caramel, light toasted, grassy notes, mild bitter and quite dry finish. Average.

Served on draft at Mellow Mushroom Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of floral hops and caramel malts. The taste is caramel, toasted malts, bitter leafy hops and a faint bit of fruitiness. Medium bodied. Very drinkable.
