1/2 pint cask at Dispensary pub, Liverpool. Golden color, fine white head. Aroma is grainy malt, some hops. Flavor is sweet malt, fruit and hops. Ok lager.

Comments: Cask-conditioned and it rarely works well for lagers. No exception here. Unfocused palate, almost creamy and malt-focused.

Aug 07 Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Some lagery malts and grassy hops with a little fruity banana. Fairly drinkable but not great.

Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Gold with a small white head. Odd malty raisin aroma, Sweet taste with a little fruity sourness and a hint of bitterness to finish. Unusual, but more enjoyable than most lagers.

Cask, Bon Accord, Glasgow, RBESG 07. Gold with a thin white head. Quite sweet toffee buttery nose, some hoppiness. Mouth is very toffee sweet, coating, slightly dry. Too sweet.

Cask at Bon Accord, Glasgow. Deep golden. Sweet with buttery malt and medium body. Soft and sugary with well structured malt and low bitterness. Well made, but too sweet.

A Mes rate:
Cask at Baker Street ’Spoons. Standard blonde looks with a pretty poor film of little bubbles. Slight diacetyl in the aroma but it’s jst about hidden by some mellow hoppage. Not too great in the flavour department. Raspberry, dusty tobacco and something distinctly rice pudding about it. Very soapy note makes me wince when I drink it. Dusty finish just about saves the day. Not great.
