Did you know that IPA stands for Indian Pale Ale, and that it was originally brewed for sale in India, becoming popular in the UK following a shipwreck in the Irish Sea in 1827, when barrels of IPA were auctioned off in Liverpool? IPA is one of Cains’ best selling ales: a refreshing session beer, with a subtle hop aroma and a light, yet full flavour

Can. Pours a clear amber color with a frothy white head. Aroma is of weak hops, grass, some grains and a slight amount of malt. Flavor is the same. Body is light and slightly dry. Overall a pretty boring IPA(Bitter), that is not worth picking up.

Dåse: Orange øl med et fint skumhoved. Svag duft af metal og meget lidt humle. Smagen er som at stikke tungen ud af vinduet. En meget lille efterbitterhed. Komplet kedelig og ikke engang chuckable. Meh.

(can, 44cl, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a short off-white foamy head. Moderately (cara-)malty aroma with slightly citric hops. Mildly sweet and shy bitter flavour, light bodied with a very smooth carbonation. Slim malty base with subtle notes of caramel and fruity hops; moderatey dry sweet-bitter finish with a delicately fruity hops. Inoffensive Ale. 19.IX.10

Can from Quack-Duck, thanks! Amber color. Initial strng grapefruit aroma, fading away soon. Some hopbitterness with grapefruit notes in the flavor. Thin but tasty. Some subtle earthy notes in the aftertaste. Not bad.
