Bov (4604), Bienne, Switzerland Jun 1, 2007 canned, from the Fête de la Bière 2005, Lausanne - it has a clear amber colour with a very little foam, floral aroma with light notes of caramel, medium-bodied at best with a harsh bitterness, very dry and short floral aftertaste - gentle and simple Jukkabro (2349), Tampere, Finland Mar 27, 2007 (Canned) Ligth orange colored, little yellow head. Nice IPAish aroma with hoppy spinach, flowers and nice fruitiness. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also nicely soft: fruits, hops, floral bitterness and this hoppy spinach, which I can’t define any better... Good, easy to drink mild IPA. harrisoni (5106), Ashford, Kent, England Mar 23, 2007 Keg at Doctor Duncan’s, Liverpool. Amber colour with lasting biege head. Served well chilled. I can’t believe I’m doing this. Great Cain’s pub and beer and I’m drinking a keg version of a cask beer (the cask version was also on). Nitro beer flavour, some hop towards the finish. It’s too cold. Got some caramel malt in mouth. To be honest the normal IPA isn’t my favourite beer, it’s just a little "so what?" Lacks body. Miminal malt/hop aroma. Some toffee in mouth, touch of hop bite on end. Not terrible, just gold and thin in flavour. DruncanVeasey (1612), Burbage, Leicestershire, England Jan 27, 2007 Updated: Jul 4, 2007Canned sample labelled ’IPA’. Reddish amber pour with a white head and a few fingers of lace. Some very pleasant if understated caramel malt notes and a gently earthy hoppiness. A touch of faintly roasted grainy malt. Tastyish sessions but surely not an IPA.
(Re-sampled 19/03/07) ...some really nasty cardboard graininess. 04/07/07..Toffeeish snout. Sweet, smooth, grainy and slightly biscuity. Alright. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Dec 26, 2005 Can Amber color. Too light aroma. Some malt, also the taste, with a lot of caramel; correct bitterness. Not an IPA!
