COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - May.
To coincide with Camra’s mild month we are again brewing our 60 Shilling. Dark, nutty, yet light in alcohol and refreshing. The Scottish answer to the English mild.

First tasted this mild in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in May 1999. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear dark mahogany brown in colour with a thin white head. Slight note of roast malt in the short nose. Creamy mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a burnt roast grain flavour with a digestive biscuit base. Hint of dried currants and orange peel. Very slight metallic tang of bitter hop resins in the brief aftertaste. Short bitter sweet finish with tannin notes. A good session mild but very hard to find - like most Scottish 60/.
