COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Seasonal - January (Burns night).
Malty full bodied Scottish style, chestnut brown ale. Mature fruit on the nose with a biscuity caramel flavour.

Cask (gravity dispense). Beer #8 at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival on 3 February 2011. Listed as Bards Ale but probably the same beer as Scottish Bard? Dark copper colour. A bit old ale like. Some lactic notes. Decent.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Loads of beers shared with ChrisO and Harrisoni - Cheers! Clear dark brown beer. Residual tan coloured head. Dried fruit and mild toffee malt in good balance. A decent autumnal ale. Dry finish.

Cask gravity at Chelmsford Winter BF 2011. Deep brown. Thin off white head. Its malty very malty touch of sting on end. But its a bit too malty

Cask (handpump) @ The National Winter Ales Festival 2008, Manchester, UK. Clear medium amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, sugar, light licorice and cola. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (170108)
