3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2014-06-30. Black body nice tan head and lace. 4+ Aroma is relatively mild, light toasty roast, mild herbal touches. Flavour is different, quite sweet dark malt core is almost milk stout like, with sort of an herbal quality to it the roast, whispers of licorice never quite gets there. Smooth average bodied palate, soft light carbonation is nice but wants to be weightier. Okay. Cask at Grog and Gruel, Fort William

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at JDWs in Surbiton. Enjoyable roasted malt and coffee, hint of licquorice but I seemed to go off it as I got through the pint as milk chocolate came through a lot more. Should probably try it again earlier in the night...

Cask at the William Robert Loosley (JDW), High Wycombe. Black with a thick beige head. Pleasant sweet smooth chocolate with a hint of blackcurrant is rudely interrupted by some cheap black coffee and sour creosote. Nice at first but rather went off it by the end of the pint.
