Cask at JDWs in Surbiton. Enjoyable roasted malt and coffee, hint of licquorice but I seemed to go off it as I got through the pint as milk chocolate came through a lot more. Should probably try it again earlier in the night...

Cask at the William Robert Loosley (JDW), High Wycombe. Black with a thick beige head. Pleasant sweet smooth chocolate with a hint of blackcurrant is rudely interrupted by some cheap black coffee and sour creosote. Nice at first but rather went off it by the end of the pint.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Pitch black in colour with a loose tan head; aroma of well roasted chocolate malts; very sweet and rather thin in the mouth with a malty chocolate taste; and a dry and pleasantly bitter finish. Unfortuanately rather one-dimensional.

Cask at The White Lady, JDW, Edinburgh. Pours dark brown with a good creamy off-white head. Cream notes continue on the aroma, with milk chocolate and something nutty. Taste is good, decent balance, but could do with more roastiness for a stout. Finishes a bit thin.
