Aroma: Grain, grass, slightly floral and just a tad metallic.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin white head. Light carbonation. Nice lacing.

Taste: Grass and sour citrus. Very dry.

Palate: Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation.

Overall: I’m not sure why this is listed as a Bitter - it’s a Golden Ale. Grassy and sour. Not bad but I wouldn’t want to drink more than one.

Cask at the Woodshed, Coylumbridge. Thin white head with lots of lacing, golden amber body. Great fruity nose of citrus and berries. Malt and hops complement each other well then the bitterness takes over for a lasting aftertaste, biscuitty and crisp. Mouthfeel is thin and no carbonation but this helps to make this beer exceptionally easy to drink.

Tap @ the tipsy leard in Kingussie. Geel met een crêmige plakkerige kraag. Smaak doet me denken aan een kruising tussen een IPA en een saison, een beetje grapefruit met een licht bedorven smaak. Weinig koolzuur, niet al teveel body. Vrij bittere afdronk. Niet spectaculair maar wel OK.

Hoppy beer with a malty and caramel taste. Quite deep and strikes me more as a winter beer than a summery one.

Clear amber colour with small to average size creamy off-white head. Very mild aroma. Weak yeasty aroma. Mild citrusy tart flavour with mild bitterness. Smooth. Mild bitterness in aftertaste.

stravale (2478) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - AUG 27, 2011
Cask @ Old Mill, Brodie
Copper brown, thick frothy white head.
Aroma of light grass hop and sweet malt with hint of strawberry.
Taste....Caramel malt...hint of strawberry....bitter hops...bit of toffee cinder.
Palate bittersweet initially, then a mild bitter lingering finish with a hint of strawberry.
Overall....Quite a pleasant beer, but the strawberry seems a bit tacked on (it is a strawberry blonde beer according to the description).
