Appearance - dark brown to chestnut. Decent head.
Nose - toffee and nuts.
Taste - more praline.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish if a little sweet though that is expected from the style.
Overall - yep 80 shilling fairly well nailed.

13/8/14 Cask, a dark ruddy Brown ale, slim head. Aroma, malt, caramel. Taste, mild bitter. Pleasant enough.

Cask at Cloisters Scottish Beer Festival. Pours clear copper brown, thick off-white head. Aromas of toffee and smoke. Taste is chewy smoke, more toffee sweetness. Sticky texture, sweet finish. OK.

Cask at CBI, London on 1st June 2013. Clear amber with off-white head and lacing bands. Rich malty aroma with smoke notes. Lush maltiness in-mouth with savoury touches and spice. Luscious malty finish. Velvety texture and medium body.

Cask Ale tatsed at Kittys 0.25L. Mild nose of malt and bread. Dark coppery color. Thin pale head. Malty and roasty slightly sour average hopped taste.Low carbonation. Not too bitter.

Cask @ The State Bar. Rich dark brown colour with orange red hue & good head. Cereal malt aroma. Slightly sour oaty fruity malt flavour. Bitter aftertaste. A decent but not outstanding bitter.

Toffee aroma, clear copper color with lacey beige head. Slightly sweet with nice toffee and walnut flavor with a hint of smoke and a vanilla aftertaste.

GBBF. Cask. Clear dark brown beer. Small bubbly tan head. Semi dry palate. Very slightly sour and tangy malt. Generic hops fruit. Inoffensive tasty little beer.

Light chestnut brown, clear, thin tight white head, some lacing
Aroma - soft caramel malts...bit of dark toffee...soft toasted malts...no hops
Taste - caramel toffee malts...light chocolate caramel...malty...light fruity malts in background...very soft bitter hops in background...less malty than I’ve had it before, flavour bit subdued
Palate - very soft carb, thinnish body, sweet malty palate. Finish of soft toffee malts...caramel malts...soft malty tail with slight burnt note.
Overall - Easy drinking but remember it being considerably more malty and having more flavour...bit bland today
