Any first impressions?
-A sticky sheet of foam protects the reddish brown clarity.
-Leafy hops and fruity caramel proudly introduce a rich pint.
-Plenty of leafy, earthy hops float atop the deep caramel maltiness.
-A round maltiness benefits from the comfy carbonation.

What if you dig deeper?
-Great malt extraction here, juicy candied fruitiness and nutty subtleties aiding the caramel in reaching higher levels of complexity.
-Intelligent leafy hop bitterness is perfectly segued.
-A few aromatic hops more, and this would be a masterpiece in my book; a beautiful winter strong ale!

On cask at Blackfriars, Inverness, and at The Anderson, Fortrose.

[cask from JDW] Aroma is big sweet malts. There is some toffee, glazed cherries, estery fruits, banana and a little alcohol. medium-full body, sweet finish, slight alcohol warmth.

Seen this before i started rating back in jan so nice to get anothertry and rate at it. Aroma is typically cairngorm with nothing too special. Taste is malty but nothing overpowering and the alcohol reaosnably well hiden though the sweetness shows it up a bit, increadibly easy to drink. Good one cairngorm.
