Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 15, 2006 A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus as will as hints of straw - reminds me of lemonade. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and hints of butter. omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 14, 2002 Sampled cask conditioned at Blackfriars, Inverness.
Golden colour. Licorice aroma. Spicy with firm maltiness, yet rather light body. Smooth and medium sweet. An unusual but strong tpuch of yeast and cardamom. Herbal finish.
A bartenders dream: whichever way you order it they will come up with a pun. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Feb 11, 2006 Cask@Battersea Beer Festival. A very soft, citric, lightly aromatic golden ale. Some melon and grapefruit in there, quite pleasant, if little thin. harrisoni (5121), Ashford, Kent, England Aug 20, 2005 500ml bottle. Bit disappointed. Golden ale, white head. Astringent sharp unpleasant aroma. Better in mouth but not huge flavour, some nettle, some biscuity malt, more green apple and brazil nut flavours but finish is short. Hildigöltur (5052), København Ø, Denmark Aug 13, 2006 Bottled. Hazy pale golden coloured. Diacetyl notes in the aroma. Light fruity flavour with a very unpleasant diacetyl finish.
