ianwelby (441) - SCOTLAND - JUL 12, 2014
Pale golden beer with a bubbly head and an aroma of citrus and something I can’t quite place which I assume must be the elderflower. The flavour light and zesty with, again, what I assume to be elderflower. I’ve not had elderflower in any other form before and I suspect I’m not a fan. It’s a perfectly palatable beer and I’d certainly try the cask if I saw it but it’s not really to my taste.

Floral aroma, obvious elderflower on the nose and taste. Refreshing and zesty, I preferred the cask version though there’s not too much difference.

Moebbels (288) - FINLAND - APR 19, 2014
Pours a golden body with a minimal haziness. The white head disappears rather quickly for being a beer containing a high proportion of wheat malt. Nose is refreshing with citrus, floral and herbal notes. Taste is crisp, dry and refreshing with a medium bitter finish. Carbonation is a tad above medium and the palate is pleasantly rich for such a light beer. A perfectly good blonde ale suited for a hot summer day.

A golden ale with a thin white head. A light brew with notes of wheat and citrus with a hint of elderflower on the finish. Nothing special.

nilsas (1231) - Bryne, NORWAY - MAR 18, 2014
Duft av humle og eik. Lys gyllen farge. Tynt hvit skum på topp. Frisk og lettdrukket, noe svak søtlig ettersmak. Greit drikke øl i sommervarmen.

ERB92 (232) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 15, 2014
Light toffee, fruits and citrus in the aroma. Golden with a white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Light body with a average carbonation. Overall a totally OK Golden/Blond Ale, but nothing to remember here.

Flaske 0,5l fra Kjeller 5. Batch L3176. Tørsteslukker i Skibotn 21 Des 13. Lys gyldenbrun. Svakt gulskjær. Litt uklar. Høyt luftig skum med litt lacing. God sitrusaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken er grapefrukt. Frisk. Avslutter litt tørt & syrlig.

From the spout a pine forest of hops to the nose, plus (elder-)flowers, then citric scents a lot. Head vanished as a ghost. Golden alright body. Sweet malts of wheat to the tongue along with lemon, grains, hops, and something flowerish fruity. Gentle to palate, fresh n fruity. Dry sweet and mild bitter end, malty notes too. Serve it chilled, but it tastes well also at 10-12’c. Fine p-ale to food or snacks. 500ml brown bottle 4.3%abv b@Kjeller5, tasted@home.
